It is a masterpiece of Catholic mysticism by one of the greatest mystics. (Originally I had complimented the narrator but I was thinking of St. John's other book I have on audio, Ascent of Mount Carmel. This book has the electronic narration. Oops.) Also, since I already have one foot in the hole, I think the cover of the book refers to a rock band of the same name - but I'm not sure; there's certainly no context in the book to explain that cover, quite the opposite.

The message is good, but the print and layout is poor
These are trying times for Christians. We need each other and need to hold onto Jesus. This book will challenge and strenghten you.
Excellent classic spiritual book.
I will continue to read this book over and over again it has become my go to book! Amazing! Every one should read it.
Hard to read at first, but then leads one into a discovery of expectations of a well meaning, well served life.
Seems that the problems of yesteryear are also the problems of today...and the sooner we realize it, the better off we will be.
A very good, readily comprehensible treatise on mystical theology. I give it four stars only because the language seems slightly stilted. Would highly recommend.
